Wow. Um. I do not know how to begin this evening's segment. Um. All I can even muster to say is...can I get those 4 minutes of my life back? With interest? Just at the end of my life? Could I have 5 and a half extra minutes please? I am almost to tears and I am being quite literal with that statement.

Analysis:

The dancing is terrible. Freestyling, contortion, all of it. I don't understand. I am disgusted. I just don't know what to do. The instrumental is terrible. Who produced this? Why are they alive? Who's idea was it to have her howl both randomly and half-heartedly. The costuming is terrible. Where are you going. Where. Stop. Go home right now. The ending is terrible. The last krump that has her falling of a ledge into her closet and climbing into bed? Terrible. Never in my life did I think that a video this terrible would exist in my lifetime. Nor did I ever believe that I would have to sit through it.

In brief: I strongly disapprove.

Yes it does seem that I am on a bit of a Panic binge at the moment, but I assure you that this probably will not last too much longer.

While browsing Yahoo! video, I came across an acoustic version of Panic! at the Disco's (then Panic at the Disco) single Nine in the Afternoon and simply cannot resist posting it.

Mariah vs Eminem

If you've seen me, this summer you may know of my current obsession with Mariah Carey's song Obsessed. I haven't really been up to speed on the recent beef between her and Eminem, nor did I really care. The song satisfied my ear and that is all I wished it to do. However, as I was browsing the morning blogs, I found Eminem's response and was thoroughly shocked as well as intrigued.

It's pretty thorough and pure Eminem. I'm just a little disappointed that it took Mariah creating a diss track towards him to finally get some decent writing out of him; but I'll take what I can get.

After this diss, I cannot bring myself to say that she didn't have it coming.

In brief: I love Mariah's track for two reasons: hot summer track and bringing the quality Eminem back.

First up in the news tonight:




Panic! at the Disco's new single New Perspective.

After hearing the news about Ryan Ross and Jon Walker's departure and the return of the "!" to their band name, I must admit I was a bit nervous for their comeback single. However, I find myself pleased and delighted to hear Brendon Urie's voice and believe that the balance between the sounds of Pretty. Odd. and A Fever You Can't Sweat Out is one that is well done.
